As we’ve mentioned in previous posts, Honeywell Aerospace understands the importance of staying connected with our customers. Offering online computer-based-training is just one way that Honeywell seeks to educate operators and users on our new products and services.

 

Here’s an example of the Pilot and Maintenance Training for the New KFD 840 Primary Flight Display that is now available online.

 

The new Bendix/King Apex Edge Series KFD 840 is an affordable replacement option for all the analog instruments in the steam gauge ‘six pack’.  This Primary Flight Display (PFD) is designed to enhance situational awareness and modernize your cockpit.  The family of retrofit avionics incorporates the most advanced technology in aviation and is designed to work standalone or with your existing autopilot or GPS system. 

 

Free pilot and maintenance training is now available online through the following link.

 

After clicking on the link, scroll down to the bottom of the page and select the option for KFD840 PFD Training.  This will launch the System Training menu.  Users can select from the following on-screen lessons:

1. Glass Cockpit
2. PFD Features and Operation
3. Pilot Configurable Settings
4. Checklist
5. Maintenance Mode & Installation

Customer & Product Support Announces New Leader

I’d like to update you on some recent leadership changes to our Aerospace Customer and Product Support team.  Tim Beatty has joined our team as the new vice president of Customer and Product Support for our Business and General Aviation business. Tim replaces Donna Chase who accepted a business leadership role within Honeywell Aerospace. 

 

Tim is an experienced customer advocate having spent the last eight years in Honeywell Aerospace’s Business & General Aviation Strategic Business Unit and in the Customer and Product Support organization, and will provide to our valued customers continuity in our ongoing commitment to deliver superior customer support.

 

Most recently, Tim served as our vice president for our Customer Support Solutions organization, and along with his team, was responsible for managing and planning all of Honeywell Aerospace’s exchange rotable assets and rental bank assets for our global operators. His organization included the contract administration center of excellence for all of Honeywell’s avionics and mechanical long term service agreements such as Maintenance Service Plan (MSP), Honeywell Avionics Protection Plan (HAPP) and Flight Support Services.
