Maura Shaffer, Vice President of eBusiness
If you’ve had the chance to read my previous posts, I’ve been providing updates on the improvements our web portal team has made throughout the year to the MyAerospace Web site. Today, I’m excited to share some great news with the recent go live of our new online price & availability/ordering functionality that will enhance our customers’ web experience.
With a click of the mouse, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, customers can order spares, rentals or exchanges of mechanical products, wheels & brakes, and avionics aftermarket parts and subassemblies used in the maintenance, repair, and modification of Honeywell commercial products – online. The new feature allows customers to download their specific pricing information and receive real-time parts availability.
Simple navigation directs customers to an extensive array of Honeywell products and services, quotes and ordering, support or the Honeywell Aerospace helpdesk.
The new Products online catalog offers advance search capabilities to the more than 100,000 parts and systems, with useful downloadable information such as Supplemental Type Certificates, brochures, service bulletins, and retrofits, modifications and upgrades.
Our new Services online catalog provides easy access to a wide range of services including flight planning, navigational database downloads, maintenance and warranty programs, and training to name a few.
With the new quotes and ordering feature, customers now have the ability to create or change an order, get real-time price & availability, request a quote if a product is not priced, or verify an orders status - all online. The web enhancements include an option to sign up for pro-active status email notifications and automated daily reports.
Our customers’ adoption of these improvements has been immediate with more than 5000 customer searches for price and availability within the first few weeks of operation. With more enhancements planned, we’re hoping to migrate a large portion of all customer orders to the web by the end of 2010.
I hope you will take a few minutes to experience some of the substantial improvements made by our team at www.honeywell.com/myaerospace.
I will continue to provide updates on our progress and as always, I welcome your comments.
