The attendance numbers are still coming in but records indicate this year’s EAA AirVenture Oshkosh was a great success, and continues to demonstrate the importance of the show in the aviation community. From the excitement of activities that took place in our Bendix/King booth and static display tent, our customers seemed delighted at the products we displayed for them this year.
Our team was busy demonstrating products and answering customer questions especially around the improved technical support to our Bendix/King Dealers. In June, we announced the expansion of technical support for Bendix/King products by routing customer inquiries to our 24x7 Technical Operations Center in Phoenix, Arizona. The center is designed to streamline the technical support processes and manage the resolution on all technical matters brought forward for assistance. By incorporating improved knowledge management tools, updated communications, and computer networks we’re able to better serve the dealers.
Some of our show highlights included the unveiling of several new product updates and product announcements. This included an update on the Apex Edge Series products and pricing, including options, and the introduction of the AV8OR. From these announcements, we received a tremendous amount of positive feedback from our customers who were thrilled to see the company’s focus back on Bendix/King products.
We also saw a terrific response to the introduction of the new Bendix/King AV8OR™ handheld GPS Navigation Display. In fact, we sold out all product available for the launch! At the same time, we’ve been fielding a lot of inquiries from customers eager to obtain the AV8OR for navigation use in their cars and personal aircraft.
We’ve been extremely pleased and surprised by the volume of interest in our innovative product. In fact, we are spooling up production to meet the growing demands of our customers. New aviation customers have found it difficult to locate this product in the retail market place.
